My collections are designed with a modern concept, but constructed with a traditional hand stitching technique - a vital skill that has been so crucial in making top quality leather goods. If done properly, a handmade good is much stronger than machine made and more importantly, looks much better with age. The real challenge to design and develop each collection is to create something fresh but timeless at the same time using my techniques.
The construction of each bag is unique and each takes approximately 10-50 hours to complete depending on the size and collection. The exterior leather and interior lining are hand-constructed - simultaneously using straight-line stitches, visible on the outside, and cross stitches on the inside with the same construction for the handles. This type of construction is rare because most bags in this market are machined separately and stitched together afterward. The inner details are often not addressed and I really like the change in conceptual thinking. The beauty of interior linings are just as important as exterior leathers. That, to me, is the true luxury.
